About Us            

I started teaching music officially in 1994 although had been experimenting a bit prior to that over the years & the reasons I started tutoring in the first place was because of the amount of friends and acquaintances that were asking me "How do you do that?" "How do you play that?" "Can you show me how you do that?"

I realized there seemed to be a shortage in the community of teachers that were teaching real music & songs that pupils really wanted to play. There's always a place for classical music & that's great, but most people want to play music they like or listen to.

So most of our pupils are asked what they like and who they like so that we can teach them that & make their journey more enjoyable.

I have loved working with a few bands over the years & love bringing pupils together that may not "cut it" on their own but in the group environment it works & they are pushed gently to keep up. The Kingsway Junior School Camp Worship Band was probably the most rewarding & we continued it the following year.

Our philosophy is to make music fun.

​

We try to keep it as modern or as relevant as possible. Our tutors get so much joy from their instruments and love passing that on to others.
